I was honored enough to be named student commencement speaker. Speaking in front of 8,000 people in the Liacouras Center constituted as a major speech, in my young mind, so it was something else to cross off the list.

It was a hell of an adventure.
Truly, the Grand Canyon is one destination every American has to make, if not every soul on this Earth.
I spent this summer in the West African country of Ghana, living in East Legon, a hamlet outside the capital city of Accra. (Read up on the fairly stable democracy here.)
I lived in a hostel on the campus of the University of Ghana, where I was studying politics and the West African aesthetic.
