Well, not everything I think I need to experience in my life is pleasant.

We all have to face rejection. We probably need to quit a job, end a relationship, and fall out of love.

So doesn’t every dog owner have to experience a vicious, life-threatening assault on their jugular?

That’s what happened to me yesterday. A tetanus shot and antibiotics later and I’m hoping things clear up. I can add, though, that I had a doctor and nurse reminding me how fortunate I should feel that a bite on the most vulnerable part of my body didn’t end up worse than some eventual scarring on a little visible portion of my face.

See the attacker – my parents’ dog and longtime favorite animal on Earth – below.

Picture this Husky, German Shephard and houndog mix angry.

I’m still mad at him, although we were wrestling.

I guess he won.

Seriously this is the same dog who chases away 500-pound black bear from my parents’ backyard.
